Excerpt from this week’s Master Key reading:
The greatest and most marvelous power which this “I” has been given is the power to think, but few people know how to think constructively, or correctly, consequently they achieve only indifferent results. Most people allow their thoughts to dwell on selfish purposes, the inevitable result of an infantile mind. When a mind becomes mature, it understands that the germ of defeat is in every selfish thought.
The trained mind knows that every transaction must benefit every person who is in any way connected with the transaction, and any attempt to profit by the weakness, ignorance or necessity of another will inevitably operate to his disadvantage.
As I dwell on my own Definite Major Purpose (DMP), I am still focused on my own statement: “I am elated to be a Servant Leader who knows, goes and shows the way, and because of this I am very wealthy for life.” I know that I can only reach my goals in my business, and in life, when I am committed to serving others and making them successful.
Now that we are in Week 4, we are reading this out loud, daily:
- Wherever I go I bring a gift. I may bring a compliment, a prayer, a trinket, a flower… but I promise I will give something to every person I encounter.
- I promise to be a grateful receiver of the gifts that surround me, pausing often and noticing nature, kindnesses, smiles and compliments; which I gladly receive with a “thank you.”
- I promise to give hope for joy, affluence, kindness and love, consciously with every encounter, regardless of the brevity.
- I promise to give, without expectation of reciprocity, from the channels I enrich, because I know I am in the dynamic flow of giving and receiving.
I have come so far already. Today I begin a new life.
It is definitely time to ‘Think and Grow Rich’.
