We sometimes procrastinate in terms of doing things for our future self because our subconscious mind sees our future self as a stranger. If we can get more intimacy with our future self, we won’t procrastinate when it comes time to build our future. This is why I read and reread my written Definite Major Purpose (DMP) statement.
In our MKMMA class we have learned that our difficulties are largely due to confused ideas about our true interests. This is why we focus on our DMP, to have less confusion and more happiness. And when we are happier, we are much better able to meet the needs of our families.
Use The Seven Laws of the Mind. Let’s touch on two of them today:
- The Law of Forgiveness tells us to give up resentments. Resentments block the flow of divine ideas. We are creating a demand from our subconscious for the positive, for our Definite Major Purpose. Resentments block the supply of ideas and means to manifest our DMP.
- The Law of Substitution reminds us that whenever a negative thought surfaces, just substitute another thought that empowers you and accelerates you toward you Definite Major Purpose.
Persistent practice produces perfect presentations (the 5 P’s). The important presentation we are making is to our subconscious. I choose to be positive. As part of the course, we are going seven days with no negative thoughts. No complaints. (It is not easy at first.)
What are you afraid of?
