Book Promotion Workshop

This is a hands-on workshop designed to provide authors with all the tools they need to start and execute their own book promotion plan.  The workshop follows a how-to guide that includes marketing, public relations, press release templates, and more. 

This workshop is ideal for authors that currently lack the budget to retain an outside PR agency.

Expected Outcome:  The student will have completed his/her Book Promotion Plan, including marketing and public relations, at the end of Module 3.

Workshop Duration and Price

This workshop is typically scheduled for five to six hours using Zoom, broken up over two days. We provide two hours of consultation after the workshop.

Price for the workshop is a one-time, flat fee of $997.

Module 1 is approximately 2 hours.  Module 2 is approximately 1.5 hours.
A homework assignment is given at the end of Module 2.  
Module 3 is approximately 2.5 hours.

Marketing Segmentation, Book Positioning & Value Proposition, Marketing Goals, Sales Goals, ROI, Sales Channel, Marketing Campaigns, Promotional Mix (advertising, personal selling, publicity & sales promotions).

Module 2
Book Public Relations Tactics

How to Develop Target Contact List, Media Relations, Pitching Techniques, White Papers, Awards, Press Kits, and Handling Media Interviews.

Module 3
Marketing and Public Relations for Authors

Review Student's Draft Book Promotion Plan, Branding Yourself / Author Positioning, Web Site Feedback, and Next Steps.
